iPad Onboarding

1. Update iOS

Hypno for iOS requires iOS version 12.0.1 or higher. Follow Apple's guide to update to the latest version of iOS

2. Name Your iPad

Every iPad connected to the Hypno platform needs a unique name because you need to be able to recognize your iPad when it shows in Hypno Admin.

Step 1: Go to Settings >> General >> About >> Name

Step 2: Input a unique name with the following format: (Your Company)[##] example: Hypno01

3. Setup Guided Access

Guided Access is an iOS feature the Hypno app uses to start and stop the app's capture mode.

Step 1: Go to Settings >> General >> Accessibility >> Guided Access

Step 2: Set Guided Access to the On position.

Step 3: Under Passcode Settings, enter a passcode. The iPad will require you to enter the passcode to exit Guided Access mode and restore normal functionality. We recommend enabling this feature to protect your iPad if there's any chance it will be left unattended. Use the same passcode that unlocks your iPad so that it's easier to remember!

4. Login to the Hypno App

When you open the app, login with your admin account. Make sure to confirm ALL app permission pop-up screens. Head to the Devices page in your demo event in Hypno Admin, and click Refresh to assign your iPad to your event.
